In case you’re here, you’re most likely having a comparable issue. So what’s making our Keurig’s stopped while fermenting?

Ordinarily a Keurig will close off while preparing on the grounds. It’s so that the K-Cup hasn’t been penetrated on the base by needle in the K-Cup container. It can likewise stop because of an obstructed mix needle, or flawed outlet.

In this article I’m not just going to cover every one of the potential things that might be making your Keurig shut off while preparing. But, on the other hand I will reveal to you how to fix every one so you can return to making. And, drinking your espresso with no issues.

Unpunctured K Cup Bottom Leads to Keurig Keep Shutting Off

The most plausible clarification your Keurig is stopping getting ready isn’t actually an issue with the Keurig itself, yet with the K Cup.

You in all likelihood certainly understand that when you put a Keurig unit in the compartment and close the cover it gets a handle infiltrated in the top. However, what you can’t deny is that the K cup gets an opening entered in the base as well.

If an opening doesn’t get entered in the lower part of the case, the water that is mixed into it won’t have the alternative to move away, and the Keurig will stop mixing to prevent flood.

So the following time your Keurig stop while preparing, open it up, take the unit out, and actually take a look at the base. In case there’s no opening or just a somewhat penetrated opening on the base you’ve tracked down what’s capable.

Disturbed Brewing Process Keurig Coffee Maker

In the event that your K units are getting penetrated appropriately and the Keurig is as yet halting preparing, I have one more conceivable clarification for you.

This one I haven’t certified with some other individual. However, from my own experience my Keurig, which is a few years of age currently, will stop mixing every now and again. Positively not when I pour the water in, turn it on and fire it up. Be that as it may, when I pour the water in and turn it on and go achieve something else and return to start the coffee a few minutes after the fact.

Typically when I do this the machine will illuminate like ordinary and say it’s fermenting, yet it will not really make my espresso and will simply wind down a couple of moments later. Regardless of whether I restart the preparing system it will not make me any espresso except if I let it be and returned a little while.

Auto Off Timer to Avoid Keurig Coffee Maker Keep Shutting Off

Another convenient solution you can make if your Keurig has an auto closed off or incapacitate clock is to wind down that. This will keep that clock from running out while your fermenting and winding down the Keurig.

In case you don’t know what sort of Keurig you have and regardless of whether it has a water supply or auto off clock.

The Keurig Needs to Be Descaled to Avoid Shutting Off

A fairly extra dreary method, despite how one that might be imperative to fix the issue, is “descaling” or cleaning your Keurig. Descaling will get out any mineral stores.  Or, garbage that have created inside the Keurig that may be making it shut off during mixing.

There’re immense heaps of educational activities online that will disclose to you the most ideal approach to descale your Keurig espresso producer.

On the off chance that your Keurig is as yet closing off while preparing it could be a result of an inner error in the Keurig’s innovation. On the off chance that you figure this may be the situation. Your best strategy is to reset the machine’s inside PC.

From the machine declining to turn on, to noticing the shockingly little measure of espresso emerging from the machine. It very well may be anything.

There are turn downs, for example, water spillages from the machine. And, afterward there are sheer cataclysmic occasions when the espresso begins tasting odd.

This occurs in light of the fact that the upper gasket of the machine can either vanish. Wrong foundation of the gasket moreover causes this issue.

The gasket is put around the cut needle of the machine. Thus, on the off chance that you see spillages, check in case it’s in the appropriate spot. In case it’s missing, you’ll need to buy one. In case it’s still there, you’ll need to change it

Final Thoughts

Obstructing of water line of your machine causes a critical decrease of espresso you escape a fermenting cycle. Stopping up of water lines in espresso producer machines is normal in light of the fact that most machines have delicate water lines.

If Keurig isn’t maturing the proportion of coffee you expect, the chances are espresso beans have plugged up the water line. The course of action, luckily, is enough essential.

Work the planning cycle a few times with just water, without the k-cup. Moreover, clean the needle to take out the expansive grounds and trash. Resulting to unclogging the water line, you should start getting the full piece of coffee like beforehand.

The sweet, decent cup of coffee brewed with your beloved Keurig coffee maker can brighten up your morning. But what’s more frustrating is when you put the pod in the machine, hit brew, and your Keurig refuses to work. You keep hitting the brew button a few more times, hoping that it starts working again, but all in vain.

Fortunately, you landed on the right page because I have done proper research and outlined some solutions to this problem. First, we have to know why does Keurig keep shutting off?

Usually, a Keurig keeps shutting off because the k-cup hasn’t been punctured by the needle in the K-cup basket. Other causes might be clogged exit needles, misaligned water reservoir magnets, the machine requiring descaling, or faulty outlets.

Why Keurig keeps turning off when you hit brew? 3 Reasons and fixes!

Some of the most likely reasons by which Keurig keeps shutting off while brewing includes:

  1. Machines require Descaling/cleaning.
  2. The bottom of the k-cup is Unpunctured.
  3. Misaligned magnet in water Reservoir

Let’s discuss each of these reasons in detail and their possible solution. So keep reading!

1)Machines require Descaling/cleaning.

Maintenance and cleaning are mandatory for the smooth functioning of kitchen appliances. The same principles apply to Keurig coffee makers.

Water (recommended to use filter water) used for brewing coffee may contain minerals that cause limestone to build up inside the machine.

If these minerals are left untreated, they cause water blockage inside the machine.

If you haven’t descaled your machine for more than 3 minutes. Then there is a chance that your Keurig keeps turning off because of some blockage inside the machine and it requires descaling.

Solution

Therefore, descaling or cleaning is necessary to fix the problem. Descaling will remove any mineral deposits that have built inside the machine and ultimately fix your machine.

2)The bottom of the k-cup is Unpunctured.

One of the most likely reasons Keurig keeps shutting off while brewing is not the issue with the Keurig itself but with the K-cup.

If you know how to use the Keurig coffee maker, you must know that while brewing, you have to put the pod in the basket. And when you close the lid and hit the brew button, the needles puncture the pod both from the top and bottom to make the way for water to pass through.

If the bottom of the pod isn’t punctured, the water injected into it is unable to escape, and the Keurig will stop brewing to avoid overflow.

This usually happens when you don’t clean your Keurig regularly. Used coffee grounds get accumulated at the sharp edges of the needles. And, the needles become unable to pierce the pods.

If you are Keurig keeps turning off, open the head of the machine take the coffee pod out and check whether there is a hole in the bottom or not. You have found the culprit if there is no hole at the bottom.

Solutions

There are two solutions to fix this problem

I) Poke the hole at the bottom of the k-cup manually by pressing it with force until it gets punctured

II) Clean the needle with a paper clip

If you notice that there is huge debris of used coffee grounds around the needles then cleaning it with a paper clip will be the best option.

Straighten the head of the paper clip. Open the head of the machine and move the paper clip around the needles to remove all the debris.

III) Replace the exit needles

If you notice that the exit needles are bent or damaged beyond repair then you can buy replacement pod holders with exit needles.

3) Misaligned magnet in water Reservoir

There’s a magnet inside the water reservoir of the Keurig machine which detects the level of water in the reservoir.

Over time, this magnet might get misaligned from the original position due to vibrations or other reasons. And when the magnet gets misaligned, the water level can’t be detected and Keurig won’t brew coffee.

Solution

A quick fix to solve this issue is; Unplug the machine and remove the water reservoir(if Keurig has a removable water reservoir), check the magnet inside the water tank to make sure that the magnet on the water reservoir is lined up with the magnet on the brewer.

If the magnet is not aligned properly you can try to align it by yourself or you might need the help of a technician to do it.

Some Hacks to apply if your Keurig keeps shutting off while brewing

If you’re Keurig still keeps shutting off after pressing the brew button even though you have applied all the solutions as discussed above, then probably it might be Keurig’s internal flaws that are creating the problem.

In that situation, you can apply these hacks. Probably it will work for you as it helped many users.

1) Keurig needs to be reset.

Resetting your Keurig machine to factory settings might solve this problem.

Resetting the machine will erase all the data from the machine such as your brew settings. And if the error in the machine is because of some malware in the system it will also be erased.

2) Disable Auto-off feature

If your Keurig machine has an auto shut off feature, turn it off.

This will keep the timer from running out and turning the Keurig off while you’re brewing.

3) Leave the machine overnight

Although this is not a proven trick, yes, this work for some users, unplug the machine, remove the water reservoir and empty it. Leave it overnight. After a day, place the water tank back, fill it with water, and try to brew. Hopefully, this helps you to get the issue fix!

4) Change the Electric outlet or plug of the machine

Sometimes, we are thinking that there is an issue with the machine but in reality, the electric outlet is the main culprit.

So, try plugging the machine into some other electric outlet. If the outlet was the issue your machine will start working properly.

The plug of the machine also starts malfunctioning sometimes because of a short circuit or some wiring problems. You might consider changing the plug if you haven’t found any other issue.

4) A hack for Keurig supreme models

The Keurig Supreme models have a very tight covering on the water tank.

Because of that, Vacuum might build when the brewer is extracting water from the tank. This will prevent water from exiting the carafe, forcing the machine to shut down and stop brewing.

Try brewing without the lid on to see if that helps.

5) Contact Keurig customer services

If unfortunately, all these hacks won’t work for you, the ultimate solution is to contact Keurig customer service for seeking their professional help.
