The game has become extremely popular, as people live the simulated digital life that they choose. Many players of this game want to become famous winning the “Famous Ribbon,” but becoming famous is no cake-walk, as you will have to spend years of your life working towards fame and fortune you want and feel you deserve. Still, for those brave souls with that much time on their hands, here are a few tips on how to get famous in BitLife. How to Get Famous in BitLife in 4 StepsStart Out Good LookingBeing good looking is extremely important in your effort to becoming famous. So, you may want to keep resetting your character until you score at 80% in the looks department. The better looking you are and become throughout your life, the easier it may be to become famous. Later, in life you can choose to have plastic surgery or other procedures in order to help you become better looking. Remember, we’re talking about a video game life simulator here, not real life. Start YoungYou can take the first initial steps to become famous when you are quite young, especially if you have rich parents. Start asking your parents for money and squirreling it away to be used later to help you become famous. EducationThe easiest careers in which to become famous are those careers in the arts, such as becoming a singer, actor, director, or even a model. You need to make wise choices in your education by either choosing to not go beyond high school or choose an education directly related to your career. Work Your Way to Fame and FortuneYou are not going to suddenly wake up one morning and be famous. If you want to know how to get famous in BitLife, you are going to have to learn to make career choices that will lead you in that direction. For example, if you want to become a famous actor, then you may have to begin by becoming a voice actor. Or start your singing career by starting out as a background singer. You will also need to hit the gym in order to help raise your looks bar, and also work toward filling of your intelligence, and health and happiness bars as well. You’ll need to grow a fan base on social media, posting at least a few times a year. You can start posting while young about being in a play, singing in your church, or any other career-directed activity. As you begin your career, post about auditions or contests you have been to, acting or singing lessons or workshops, and other information. Remember that in BitLife, just like in real life, it may take you years to become famous so keep working towards your goal. Don’t forget to throw in a few exotic vacations to up your happiness level and to show you are accumulating a bit of wealth. Following the Fame Update in April 2019, BitLife added the ability to become famous! While the concept has now been fleshed out in later updates, like the Music and Pro Sports ones, the only ways to become famous in the original update was to become a model, singer or music composer (no special careers yet, these two were just like regular jobs), writer, or game developer. However, the all-new activities covered below were included in the first update. Characters can now gain fame through certain jobs; such as being a model, a writer (pretty rare), a game dev (pretty rare too!), an actor/actress, a musician, a reporter, a social media influencer, or a professional athlete. Being part of a royal family will also grant you fame! Becoming famous will grant you the Famous ribbon! New ActivitiesWhile it will be a bit low at the beginning of your career, being famous also unlocks new interactions under Activities > Fame (Manage your fame):
Social MediaBecoming a social media influencer without becoming famous in other ways is possible, though a bit challenging. Doing this will yield you the "Influencer" ribbon, though there are many other requirements. As a famous person, you will gain followers at a faster rate than a regular person; you can also verify your account when your fame stat is high enough (100,000 subscribers/followers on the social media platforms to be verify you're account when not famous ), though this doesn't really do anything. Celebrities will also start following your social media accounts, and you can sometimes manually get them to do this by complimenting them under the Social Media page, Celebrity. Posting will grant you small amounts of fame, depending on the views/likes. Promoting products that your followers don't like will take a toll on your fame, so be careful! Miscellaneous InformationAs a famous person, some random scenarios will pop up; such as having a stalker (where you can plead with them, ignore them, or call the police with varying results), having another famous person insult you (where you can ignore them or insult them back with varying effects on your fame), having paparazzi try to photograph you at an inconvenient time (where you can pose, ignore them, or cover up your face with varying effects on your fame), and more (feel free to add)! Fame may decrease should you quit the job that made you famous, get older or less attractive with time (especially as a model or movie star), stop producing albums as a musician, stop practising your skills as an athlete, stop doing anything to raise your fame, et cetera. While being part of a royal family will give you fame, if you do any of the activities, you may get in trouble with the press for profiting off of a book/commercial/photo shoot or inserting your royal propaganda at a talk show. When you do, you can choose to denounce or apologise to your critics— your fame/respect may take a hit if you choose the wrong thing. When their anger is low, you're safe to denounce them (though still do it sparingly), but when it's high, apologising is your best bet! It raises after every offence, though... Variations Depending on Your CareerWhen famous, the UI background will change from plain white to white with a pattern corresponding to the reason of your fame. As a royal, the pattern will be of crowns; as a professional athlete, the pattern will be of soccer balls; as a musician, the pattern will be of music notes (unless you are producing pop music). For the rest, the pattern will be of stars! It is common for people to confuse the other stats that come with these different careers with fame, but they are completely different. They are often confused because these stats will show up at the bottom of the screen while you are playing (the fame stat will be the one to show up in the profile, though):
Some more clarification on the overlap between fame and royalty; if you are part of a royal family, you will not have a fame stat. Instead, the bar that shows up at the bottom and in your profile will be for "Respect". However— this page will count it as fame, as it gives you access to the activities exclusive to fame like writing a book and appearing in a commercial. |
