Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers will play their first of three games in Israel on Tuesday. After taking part in some activities and travel, the Auburn Tigers will face the Israel U-20 National Team at 12:00 pm CT in Malha, Arena in Jerusalem, Israel. Pearl plans to use many different lineups in these exhibition contests to see what his new roster looks like on the court together against another opponent. Newcomers Tre Donaldson, Johni Broome, Chance Westry, and Yohan Traore will be making their Auburn debuts. All four are expected to have important roles with this team this season. The Auburn Tigers will be able to see the action on the SEC Network. Jay Bilas and Roxy Bernstein will have the call. Both Bilas and Bernstein traveled with the team to Israel. Pearl hinted that he would start a different lineup in each of Auburn's three games in Israel. There won't be a lot to read into regarding who gets more minutes than others but it will be interesting to see who makes the most of the opportunity. No. 17 Auburn (6-3) faces Mississippi State (5-4) on Saturday at noon ET at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama. The game will be televised by ESPN. Auburn, which is in its first season under coach Bryan Harsin, rose as high as No. 13 in the College Football Playoff rankings following its 31-20 win over then-No. 10 Ole Miss on Oct. 30. However, the Tigers suffered a 20-3 loss at then-No. 14 Texas A&M last week, dropping their ranking by four spots. Auburn has three games left: vs. Mississippi State; at South Carolina; and vs. No. 2 Alabama. The Tigers have a 3-2 record in SEC play and currently rank third in the division behind the Crimson Tide and Aggies. Mississippi State is in its second season under coach Mike Leach and has improved slightly from last season, when it went 4-7 overall and 3-7 in SEC play. The Bulldogs are 5-4 this season (3-3 SEC) yet have still struggled offensively under Leach, who has been known for his “Air Raid” offense that set records at Texas Tech and Washington State. Its defense is led by senior cornerback Roger McCreary, who is widely viewed as a future first-round NFL Draft pick, and senior linebacker Zakoby McClain, who led the SEC with 113 tackles last season and has 71 this year. Mississippi State sophomore quarterback Will Rogers has thrown for 3,307 receiving yards, the third-most of any FBS player, and 23 touchdowns, which ranks No. 11. Junior linebacker Jett Johnson leads its defense with 64 tackles along with two pass deflections, while sophomore cornerback Emmanuel Forbes has three interceptions.
