if 5 machines finish 5 widgets in 5 minutes it means per machine does 1 widget in 5 minutes.Rate of 1 machine = 1 widget/5 minutes.so if 100 machines work together the machines can finish 100 widgets in 5 minutes.

Useful property : no. of machine * time * rate = work 5 * 5 * R = 5R = 1/5.Now we can use this rate to find out the required time: no. of machine * time * rate = work 100 * T * 1/5 = 100T = 5.

Thus the best answer is B.

The rate of 5 machines is 1 widget per minute, so the rate of 100 machines is 1 x 20 = 20 widgets per minute, so it will take 100 machines 100/20 = 5 minutes to make 100 widgets.Answer: B _________________

We know M1T1/W1 = M2 T2 /W25 machines 5 minutes to make 5 widgets.So, 5 * 5 /5 = 100 * T2 /100=>T2 = 5
