Especially if you’re uploading something super important. We’re here to help with a fix!

Solutions

Solution 1: Restart the TikTok App and your Device

The first and easiest thing to do is to close and reopen the TikTok app. For good measure, logout and log back in as well. This may very well remove the issue that is causing the video processing error. Restarting the app will also speed up the app’s performance by a measurable amount.

Solution 2: Clear TikTok Cache

Clearing your TikTok app’s cache is another method you can use to fix any latent errors within the system. When the cache begins overloading the app, it may affect performance. Simply clear your app cache and this problem should go away way. We’ve linked both methods for Android and iOS.

Solution 3: Make Sure you Have a Good Internet Connection

A more obvious solution is that your Internet may be causing you troubles. Uploading on either WiFi or Mobile Data isn’t fool proof, as these connections may waver depending on your location or back-end ISP issues. Check and see if your internet connection is working properly, and restart your router/mobile data for good measure.

Solution 5: Check If Your Video Violates Community Rules

Community Rules are super strict on sharing apps these days. Videos that violate community rules are quickly flagged and taken down. Check to see if you’re violating any copyright or community rules.

Solution 6: Report to TikTok Support

If you’ve made it this far down the list and nothing worked, you have no choice but to contact TikTok support. Use their Support section and lodge a complaint.

I don't even have violations at the moment. Tiktok just decided my stuff needs to sit in "video is being processed" today. Neither video was particularly contentious or even controversial, so I am not sure what is going on.

One user detailed how they tried posting seven TikToks and none of them had been processed, despite it being hours.
