(12 mi)/(30 mi/hr) = 12/30 hr = 24 minutes
60 mph is 1 mile per minute, or 1 minute per mile. Show How long does it take to drive 12 miles?
The answer will show you how many total hours and minutes it will take you to drive 12 miles based on your speed. The answer will not show seconds, and the minutes are rounded if necessary. The formulas to calculate the total hours and minutes it takes to drive 12 miles is as follows: Floor(12 ÷ mph) = Hours ((12 ÷ mph) - Hours) × 60 = Minutes Time to Drive Calculator Do you need to know how long it takes to drive a different distance? 00:00:00 Time format HH:MM:SSAbout Speed Distance Time CalculatorThis online calculator tool can be a great help for calculating time basing on such physical concepts as speed and distance. Therefore, in order to calculate the time, both distance and speed parameters must be entered. For the speed, you need to enter its value and select speed unit by using the scroll down menu in the calculator. For distance, you should enter its value and also select the proper length measurement unit from the scroll down menu. You'll receive the result in standard time format (HH:MM:SS). Time Speed Distance FormulaDistance is equal to speed × time. Time is equal Distance/Speed. Distance = Speed × Time Speed = Distance / Time Time = Distance / SpeedCalculate Time from Distance and Speed ExamplesExample 1: ---------------------------------- Speed: 50 mile per hour (km/h) Distance: 70 miles Time = Distance / Speed Time = 70 km / (50 km/h) Time = 1.4 h 1 hour = 60 minutes 0.4 h = 0.4 × 60 0.4 h = 24 minutes Time = 1 hour 24 minutes Time = 01:24:00 (HH:MM:SS) Example 2: ---------------------------------- Speed: 40 kilometer per hour (km/h) Distance: 60 miles Time = Distance / Speed Time = 60 miles / (40 km/h) 1 mile = 1.609344 km Time = 60 × 1.609344 km / (40 km/h) Time = 96.56064 km (40 km/h) Time = 2.414016 h Hours = 2 h 1 hour = 60 minutes 0.414016 h = 0.414016 × 60 0.414016 h = 24.84096 minutes Minutes = 24 min 1 minute = 60 second 0.84096 min = 0.84096 × 60 sec 0.84096 min = 50 sec (approximately) Seconds = 50 sec Time = 2 hours 24 minutes 50 seconds Time = 02:24:50 (HH:MM:SS)
James W 2022-08-03 08:42:01 This was the best tool ive ever used that was on point from speed to distance and time Calculator Martin 2022-06-03 13:44:22 This was somewhat unhelpful as I know the time and distance, but not the speed. Would be helpful if this calculator also could solve the other two as well. !Einstein 2022-04-25 02:41:10 If a total distance of 2 miles is driven, with the first mile being driven at a speed of 15mph, and the second mile driven at a speed of 45 mph: What is the average speed of the full 2 mile trip? And d=6 t= 0.4 velocity, v (same as speed)=? so v=d/t v=6km/0.4 (multiply it by 10/10 to remove decimal) = 60/4= 15 Speed required to cover rest of the 6km in the left 24min= 15km/hr This took me some time to understand but when I was done, I realised it was pretty easy. The only two formulas that were used were: time=distance/speed velocity/speed= total distance/total time taken Hope it helps :) Harshita from India :D Ally 2021-09-30 01:58:08 Here is a question! Rob 2021-09-22 15:57:13 Helped my math question so much!!!
